The first version of this standard textbook on the bones, surfaces, movement and conformation of the horse was prepared by R.H. Smythe MRCVS and published in 1967.  It was revised and expanded in 1972 by DR P.C. Goody, B.Sc., Ph.D., who provided a wide new base of anatomical information valuable to anyone wishing to study the horse in detail.
