After moving to Cornwall with her mother, Bethany finds it hard to settle in and make friends and she becomes very lonely. Everything changes one wet, winter evening when she finds a pony, desperate and exhausted, trapped in wire on Bodmin Moor. Despite knowing little about horses, she is determined to help him and this sparks off a chain of events that leads to new friends and new experiences.

However, it seems the pony is not the only one in need of rescue. While accidents happen, secrets are uncovered and problems are solved, Bethany her new friends and the ponies are enjoying “the best summer ever”.
