The Manual of Horsemanship contains the basic teaching of The Pony Club for its members and their instructors. This new edition stays true to the original concept and is a complete basic guide to horsemanship and horse care in one volume.

First published over 50 years ago, the Manual has been revised and reprinted many times, and sold well over a million copies in English alone.

Originally based on cavalry guidelines, it draws on the knowledge and skill of members of The Pony Club Training Committee and leading veterinarians, saddlers and other experts who wish to pass on their knowledge and expertise for the benefit of future generations.

The Pony Club’s primary aim is to encourage young people to learn and enjoy all kinds of activities connected with horses and riding. The Manual is its flagship publication.
