Champion Fjord Mare
Some ponies are fast. Some are elegant. Others are powerful athletes. And if you’re Sweetwater Zorah Bell, aka "Zoobie," you’re all three! The 2004 Norwegian Fjord mare made a splash in Combined Driving: an exciting sport with three phases showcasing the control and elegance of dressage, the speed of cross-country marathon, and the precision necessary to navigate a cones course.
Zoobie’s Combined Driving career began at age 11, and she quickly accumulated a long list of accolades, including: 2016 USEF National Championship for Advanced Single Pony, 2018 USEF National Championship Combined Driving Single Pony at the Advanced and Preliminary Levels, 2019 USEF Reserve National Champion and Reserve Horse of the Year Combined Driving Single Pony at the Advanced Level, and 2021 USEF Reserve Championship in the Pleasure Driving Single Pony division.
She even became the first Fjord to ever be selected to represent the USA in any discipline at the 2019 FEI Combined Driving Pony World Championships in Hungary, showing the world what versatile competitors Fjords are!
